My favorite YouTube videos
- or... Got an Hour to Kill?!
- Christmas Food Court Flash Mob
Flash mobs are all the rage with the hip crowd :-) , and here we see one taking
over a Food Court to sing The Hallelujah Chorus from Handel's Messiah.
- The Classic
Serious light show technology!
- Zachary gets thirsty.
This stop-motion was filmed with a Sony 8mm camcorder and edited with Pinnacle Studio v8.
- Zachary & I get musical.
Zachary figured out Stairway to Heaven on Smule's
Ocarina (iPhone app) and he also
figured out / taught me how to play the guitar part.
- Zachary gets dangerous.
Trailer for Zachary's new TV series premiering this fall on the Leon Broadcast Network.
He had a little help in this video from famously cool announcer, Don LaFontaine.
- Sunset above the clouds.
Diane and I had just finished a delicious 20th Anniversary dinner at
Bella Vista Restaurant
up on Skyline Blvd and were driving home when we saw this view. We had to pull over and enjoy it for
a few minutes, and I caught a few seconds on my Canon G3.
- Nate flying TRex 500 at Baylands Park.
This one isn't very amazing or super quality, but it's me, so I had to include it. ;-)
You can kinda' see a few loops and rolls, but that's about it.
Thanks to my friend Scott for recording it on his Flip video camera.
- Michigan State University Drumline - 1984.
1984 MSU - 1984 PASIC - Ann Arbor, Mich.
I am the 2nd cymbal player from the right. (e.g. at 2:10 when we toss them over our shoulders :)
- The Ultimate Dog Teaser.
This one is hilarious, and the dog is a great actor.
- Charlie bit my finger - remix.
This is a remix of a classic video. See the "comments" section for a link to the original video,
so the remix might make more sense.
- Star Wars according to a 3-yr old.
Well... well... this is just too cute, but watch out for Darth Vader - he'll getcha' !!
- David after the Dentist.
I guess you know you are a classic video when there are many remakes of it, including...
- Chad Vader after the Dentist.
This is my favorite remake. "In my vent?" !
- Laughing baby.
Who doesn't crack up when watching a laughing baby? - "bing"!
- Laughing baby II.
Laughing babies are so funny, it was worth listing two of 'em!
Ethan gets a kick out of ripping paper.
I'm sure after this, Mom & Dad had to cancel all magazine subscriptions!
- One Semester of Spanish love song.
Here's some tips if you don't speak Spanish, but want to court a girl from Spain.
- Misheard Numa Numa lyrics.
"Ragu sledding yay!"
What are they saying, anyways?!
- Monty Python mashup with Star Wars.
This is the "Dark Knight" scene from Monty Python and the Holy Grail, but Darth Vader lines
have been edited over the Knight and light sabres over the swords, complete with catching leaves on fire.
Very well done - must have taken many hours.
- Sparta the mean Kitty.
Very creative song about a "mean" kitty torturing his owner.
- Potter Puppets.
You probably have to be a Harry Potter fan to appreciate this one fully,
but it is one of the all-time highest viewed videos so who am I to argue? ;-)
I guess it does kinda' grow on you.
- Impossible Guitar by "Mystery Guitar Man".
This guy has over 100 videos, and most of them are pretty cool,
so it is worth checking out his entire "channel".
He has some impressive video-editing technology.
- Halloween Light Hero.
This guy basically presented Guitar Hero using Christmas lights on the front of his house. Very impressive.
This year, he went even further and turned it into a "Help Santa dodge the snowball" video game.
Maybe Nintendo can license his technology as an extension to the Wii.
- Michael Winslow does Star Wars.
This is the guy known as "the man of 10,000 sound effects"
He was in Policy Academy, Spaceballs, and was featured in a Reebok commercial.
In this clip, he does all the sound effects from the Star Wars Millenium Falcon dogfight seen
- Daft Hands.
Be patient, nothing really happens in the first 50 seconds,
(sure you can skip over it, but it kinda' sets the tone)
and then it takes another minute to really get going good.
Way too much free time on her 'hands'! (rim shot)
- This & That card.
This is a great magic trick, and you can find other videos explaining how to do it,
but you might not be able to pull it off as good as this guy.
Maybe it is the cool accent. :-)
- Zack Kim.
Zack plays two parts to the Super Mario theme song on two guitars - at the same time!
And why not - he's got two hands!
Maybe he is using the Left and Right side of his brain at the same time?!
He also plays other pieces including Fur Eloise, Pachelbel's Canon in D-major,
the theme song from The Simpons, etc...
- Glass harp.
Tocata and Fugue in D-minor (most likely) by J.S. Bach performed by Robert Tiso - on drinking glasses!
Zachary was about to try this here at home on his Mom's set of crystal glasses (@ $50) when she intervened.
I'm sure it would have turned out fine, but she wasn't willing to find out. :-)
