The volunteers for NetDay 96 at Newark Unified School District...

We had a great turnout at NetDay 96! Even though Mr. Clinton and Mr. Gore didn't show up at our district, we had about 35 people, and were able to meet our goal of wiring the computer labs of 4 of the elementary schools in Newark.

Even more important than the physical networking that went in, there was much people-networking that went on. People from high-tech industries all over the bay area realized that we cannot count on state funds to give our kids all of the tools they need to obtain the excellent education that we desire. Last Saturday was just a first step in building a relationship between the local schools and the high tech area in which we live.
