Disney Blast 2001

In July 2001, we met up with Nate's parents, sisters, and families for a vacation / family reunion in Florida for a Disney "Land and Sea" package. We spent three days at the Disney parks, and then took a four day cruise on the Disney Wonder to the Bahamas and back. It was a really great time!

We stopped to watch a Barber Shop Quartet on our way out one afternoon.

Cinderella asked Jessica if she came here in a carriage. When she told her it was an airplane, Cindy asked, "Is that like a carriage?" She played the part very well!

We stayed at the Polynesian Resort which had a great pool, complete with a water slide in the shape of a volcano!

On the first day we were there, we all met up at Cinderella's castle for lunch which was really nice.

Animal Kingdom

We stopped just inside the entrance to Animal Kingdom to check out these bright, red Flamingos!

We saw this wood carving of Jessica's name, but we would have had to wait several hours for it, and we were on our way out to the water park.

The cruise stopped at Castaway Key, which is Disney's private island in the Bahamas - Very nice!

We had a fun time exploring the ship. This is an isolated deck on the stern that we had to ourselves. :-)

Time to celebrate anniversaries

and birthdays

We had our 13th anniversary during the cruise, and Zachary's birthday was only five days away, so we celebrated that also.
